Liturgy & Prayer

MASS TIMES

"Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?" (I Corinthians 10.16)

The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life." "The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Passover." (Catechism 1324)

We pray the Prayer of the Church at Newman House chapel each morning and night and at other times too:

Morning Prayer is at 8.15am, Monday to Friday, and at 8.45am on Sundays.

Night Prayer is at 10.00pm each night.
